Following the activity of FT5XO, we found necessary to know more about the location where FT5XO was set up. After reading the history bounded to this interesting site, after suggestions arisen among the WAP chasers, we have decided to give Port Jeanne dArc Station a New WAP reference.

It is WAP FRA-05.

Thanks to Gil, F5NOD for the translation of this interesting brief history which give us an excellent opportunity to know more about Antarctica and its fascinating surrounding area. Im sure more information will come up as well as Im sure my friend Gary VE3XN, who is also the QSL Managers for FT5XOs expedition, will send other comments and more detailed information. WAP(Worldwide Antarctic Program) will be pleased to give hospitality to any Antarctic stories readers may wish to send....... Go on WAP web site www.ddxc.net/wap to read the full Port of Jeanne d'Arc story.

Enjoy Antarctica
