>>> CHAD ON 160 METRES <<<
Dennis, PA7FM reports that Pierre, TT8AMO plans to operate on 160 metres
(CW only) during the nights between 15-16 (Friday to Saturday) and 16-17
(Saturday to Sunday) April.
"I can hear most of the stations very well", Pierre says, "but you guys
will not hear me well as I am using only 100 watts and low antenna. If
there is no QRN, the local noise is very low, no QRM at all.I will chose
the TX frequence where the SWR is the lowest in order to allow my TS-50
to deliver as much power as possible. I have no tuner, no amplifier. The
operation will be in split up 3 to 6 kHz. Most probably some QSO for EU
and JA around 20-23z and USA from 02h30 till my sunrise. It looks like
that the sunrise in Abeche (eastern Chad) is around 04h30z. After this
top band week-end there will be no more 160m and 80m operation, and the
80m antenna will be replaced with a 17m antenna". QSL via PA7FM. On-line
logs are available at http://www.pa7fm.nl/logs/tt8amo/logsearch.php
