23/06/2005:  Bob, W9UI and his wife Traudel, WD6CTL will be at Windwood
on the island of St Croix, Virgin Islands (NA-106) from 23 June 23rd
until July 8th as KP2/homecall. They will be on the lookout for 6m
sporadic E contacts; other times, they will be on HF (when not diving).

23/06/2005:  Mike UA4WB and Co. will be active June 23-24th as RK4WWD/p
and UA4WB/p from the Glazovsky (RDA UD-14) area, and possibly the
Jukamensky (RDA UD-31) area and the Jarsky (RDA UD-33) area, Republic of

24/06/2005:  Look for Dario, IV3IIM/p, to be QRV June 24th, weather
permitting, from the Castelletto dei Filtri (DCI reference TS-013, for
the Italian castles award), Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Province of
Trieste (TS), Comune di Trieste (L-424). Activity will begin around
14:00 UTC on 40 and 20 meters. QSL via home call, direct or bureau. [Tnx

24/06/2005:  Dick, K5AND, will be QRV June 24th as J3/K5AND from the
island of Grenada (IOTA NA-024). Also along on the trip are Arliss
(W7XU), Holly (N0QJM) and Johan (ON4IQ). Activity will be on 6 meters
with a single long yagi and kw and 2 meters with a single 5wl yagi or a
group of 4 yagis combined with a kw amp on ssb/cw and 500w on digital
modes. There will be a 2m EME operation, using the JT65a digital mode.

24/06/2005:  Andrej RA0CS, Slava UA0AOZ, Vlad UA0ACG will be active June
24-26th as RA0CS/p, UA0AOZ/0 and UA0ACG/0 from the Vaninsky (RDA HK-15)
area and Toki island (RR-14-05), Lake Ladoga. QSL via home calls, direct

25/06/2005:  Slava (US7IGF), Roman (UR7IJQ), Alexandr (UR7IKV) and Roman
(UY7IQ) will be active June 25-26th as homecall/p from Squrovs'kyi
Island (SD-10 for Ukrainian Islands Award). Look for them on 40-15 meter

25/06/2005:  Look for Franco, HB9OAB, to be QRV June 25th to July 15th
from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (IOTA NA-096). There will be daily

25/06/2005:  Look for Frank, N8UAS/p, to be active June 25-26th from
Isle Royale (NOT IOTA, USI MI-001L, Lake Superior, Keweenaw County, Grid
EN58), Michigan. He will be operating battery power QRP with a 703+ and
a 20 meter dipole or a G5RV jr. Activity will be on 40, 20, 17, 10 and 6

25/06/2005:  Team UE3EDA plans to be active June 25th from the Kireevsky
(RDA TL-25) area, Bogoroditsky (RDA TL-17) area, Bogoroditsk (RDA TL-07)
City, Uzlovsky (RDA TL-33) area, Kimovsky (RDA TL-24) area, Kimovsk (RDA
TL-10) City, Novomoskovsk (RDA TL-28) area, and the Venevsky (RDA TL-18)
area, Tul'skaya oblast (TL), as UE3EDA/3 (20 and 40, SSB and CW) and
UE3EDA/3/M (SSB). Operators will be Serge (RU3EG), Mike (RV3ECW), Eugene

26/06/2005:  Ed, WA3WSJ, will be taking a family vacation to the Outer
Banks of North Carolina June 26th to July 2nd. He plans to activate
Hatteras Island (IOTA NA-067, USI NC-005S, Dare County), Cape Hatteras
lighthouse (WLH K-033, ARLHS USA 119), Bodie Island lighthouse (WLH
K-024, ARLHS USA 067), Ocracoke Island (IOTA NA-067, USI NC-001S, Hyde
County) and the Ocracoke lighthouse (WLH K-113, ARLHS USA 561 WLOTA

27/06/2005:  Look for IZ7AUH/p, IZ7FLP/p and IZ7FLQ/p to be QRV June

01/07/2005:  Arthur, G7BQY, and others will be active July 1-3rd as
GB2CD from the Forset Scout Camp at Sandiway, on the occasion of the

01/07/2005:  The Marco Island Radio Club will be using the special call
N4M to celebrate the founding of modern Marco Island (IOTA NA-052, USI
FL-025S, Collier County), Florida, July 1-10th. Look for activity on

01/07/2005:  Look for Metin, TA1ED/0 and Nuri, TA3BN/0 to be QRV July
1-4th from Giresun Island (IOTA AS-154). Activity will be on all HF
bands plus 2 meter SSB and CW. The will have 2 transceivers, one for SSB

01/07/2005:  The RU-QRP Club will be active as UE3QRP/2 from Kaliningrad
July 1-8th to celebrate the 750th anniversary of Kaliningrad (ex.
Koenigsberg). Activity will be on all bands, close to the QRP

01/07/2005:  Pete, VE3IKV, plans a 6 meter Zone 2 DXpedition to VO2
Labrador which will take place around the beginning of July 2005, using
the special call sign VD2X. The purpose of the trip is to investigate
high latitude Sporadic-E propagation on the North American side as it is
affected by proximity to the North Geomagnetic Pole. Special attention
will be paid to multihop transatlantic paths, as well as double hop to
central and western USA/Canada. Equipment so far is my FT-650 and a
5-element K6STI wide spaced portable yagi (10dBd). Pete will be
monitoring SSB/CW during the drive, and if the band opens up, switch

01/07/2005:  Linda (VE9GLF) and Len (VE9MY) will be activating some
islands over the next month or so. The following is their schedule of
operation. We will be working/vacationing during this time and operation
will be as time permits and band conditions dictate. July 1-2nd, one new
Canadian Island in Nova Scotia (NS); July 6-9th, several new Canadian
Islands in Newfoundland (NF) with IOTA being NA-027 as far as they know
now; July 22nd, 1-2 new Canadian islands is (NS, Maybe IOTA NA-081???)
and July 23rd, New Canadian Island (NS) in IOTA NA-081. Activity will be
on the ususal IOTA frequencies, mobile or portable with 100 watts. QSL

02/07/2005:  Alfredo (IK7JWX) and a few others will be active July 2-3rd
from Islola Sant'Andrea (IIA BR-005, NOT IOTA). They plan to activate
the Diga di Forte a Mare (ARLHS ITA-187) and Castello a Mare N.
Breakwater Head (Green Tower) (ARLHS ITA-266) lighthouses, also the
Castello Alfonsino o Rosso o a Mare di Brindisi (DCI BR-001 for the
Italian castles award). Activity will be on all bands, propagation

02/07/2005:  Some members of club station RK3IWT will try to activate
some islands in Lake Ladoga (some new ones are possible) between July

03/07/2005:  Andy, DL7AT, will be QRV July 3-9th as DL7AT/p from Foehr
island (IOTA EU-042, GIA N-17). Activity will be on 40 and 20 meter SSB

03/07/2005:  Paul, N3LTT, reports that he will be QRV July 3-8th from
various US Islands in the Florida Keys, but primarily Key Largo (IOTA
NA-062, USI FL-049S, Monroe County), Florida. There are no set times,
but most likely activity will be in the early morning and late evening.
Look for Paul on 20 meter SSB (14.250-14.260 MHz). QSL direct to N3LTT,

11/07/2005:  Tony, K1USC/6, will be active July 11-16th on Santa
Catalina Island (IOTA NA-066, USI CA-016S, Los Angeles County),
California, with Boy Scout Troop 655 during summer camp at Emerald Bay
Boy Scout Camp. Operations on 40-6 meters will occur, as time permits,
throughout the week. Scouts will be making some of the contacts as part
of the requirements for their Radio merit badge. QSL via home call,

16/07/2005:  Look for Rebekah WG4Y/p, Angela WN4C/p, Truman NN4C/p,
Allan KV4T/p and Bridget KS4YT to be QRV July 16-17th from Dauphin
Island (IOTA NA-213, USI AL-002S, Mobile County), Alabama. Activity will

16/07/2005:  The Radio Club of Redon (F6KQC) will be active July 16-17th
as TM5DUM from the Ile Dumet (IOTA EU-064, DIFM AT-018). This activity
will also count for DFCF reference 44-028, for the French Castles Award,
Département de Loire Atlantique (44). Activity will be on all HF
bands with 2 stations, one for CW and the other for SSB. They will also

25/07/2005:  Hans-Peter, DC1HPS, plans to be QRV July 25th to August 7th
as DC1HPS/p from Pellworm Island (IOTA EU-042, GIA N-23 for the German
Islands Award). Activity will be on 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters, IOTA

27/07/2005:  Andres ES1AN, Arvo ES1QV, Harald ES1LS, Eimar ES1LSR, Toivo
ES2DJ and Juri ES2EZ will be QRV July 27-31st as ES2U from the island of
Rammu (IOTA EU-149). Activity will be on 80-10 meter CW and SSB, IOTA

28/07/2005:  Pete, W2GJ, and Steve, AA4V, are planning two trips to
Crooked Island, Bahamas (IOTA NA-113). They will be there for the IOTA
contest in July, 2005, and the CQ WW phone test in late October, 2005.
The calls will be C6ARV (AA4V) and C6APR (W2GJ). The operations in the
contest will be M/S with WARC bands operation by each operator before

28/07/2005:  Fred VE1FA, Helen VA1YL, Howard VE1DHD, Bill VE1MR, Lynn,
VE1ENT, Gary VE1RGB and Rich VA1CHP are planning to activate Whitehead
Island for six days this summer, centering around this year's annual
24-hour IOTA Contest in July. Whitehead Island is located in the Bay of
Fundy and lies off the coast of Grand Manan Island. Whitehead is IOTA
NA-014, Canadian Islands NB-010, N. lat. 44° 37', W. long. 66° 40', Grid
Square FN-64. In 1805, the Franklin family were the first settlers on
tiny (2.5 x 1.5 km) Whitehead Island. The fishing was great then and 150
hospitable Islanders still harvest scallops, lobster, salmon and herring
around its shores. The group will use the special call VC9W which has
been allocated to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the island's
first settlement. Activity will be on 80 through 6 meter CW and SSB,
from July 28 to August 2, 2005, around the usual island frequencies. QSL

29/07/2005:  Hakan SM6EQO, Bjorn SM6JOC, Magnus SM6VFJ, Lasse SM6ZBD,
Loesaus SM6ZBC and Gundhard SA6AIF will be active July 29-31st as 7S6TL
from Tistlarna (Goteborg and Bohus/Halland County group) (IOTA EU-043),
IOTA Contest included. They will be operating from the Tistlarna
lighthouse (ARLHS reference SWE-392, WW Loc. JO57UM) and will use the

29/07/2005:  Jurgen (ON5MF) and Tim (ON5HC) will be QRV July 29th to

the mornings and evenings. He also plans to work some 2 meters with a

30/07/2005:  A large group of Swedish operators will be active July
30-31st as SK2T from Bredskär Island (IOTA EU-135, WW Loc. KP03DP). They
