September 30th from the Torre Civica o dell'Orologio di Frattamaggiore

30/09/2005:  Members of the Russian Robinson Club are proud to announce
a DXpedition to Aldabra (AF-025) and Farquhar (AF-035) Islands scheduled
for late September and early October. Their tentative schedule (and
callsigns) is: S79RRC/A - Aldabra Island, September 30th-October 2nd;
S79RRC/F - Farquhar Island, October 5-7th. The team will be: Sergey
RA3NAN (S79NAN), Eugene RZ3EC (S79EC) and Andy RZ3EM (S79RRC). They are
expected to dedicate 3 days of operation to each island. For more

30/09/2005:  Stephan, DK3TNA, plans to be QRV from the island of Crete

01/10/2005:  ens, DD0VD, will be QRV October 1-7th as DD0VD/p from
Usedom Island (IOTA EU-129, GIA/DID O-13 for the German Islands Award).
This will be a holiday activity, with participation in the Scandinavia

01/10/2005:  Several special calls - namely ED5MDT, ED5PSG, ED5PSM,
ED5PSR, ED5PYP, ED5TCG, ED5TIF, ED5TII and ED5TSJ - will be aired
October 1-2nd from a number of monuments on Tabarca Island (EU-093, DIE
E-006). ED5TII (the island main station) ED5TIF (at the Faro de Tabarca
lighthouse, ARLHS SPA-136, WLOTA 1779) will be active on several bands,

01/10/2005:  Cedric, F5PSR, plans to activate the Castle of Creil (DFCF
reference 60-035 for the French Castles Award) located on the island of
Saint Maurice (DIFI reference 60001R for the French Inland Islands
Award) October 1st, in the morning. Activity will be mainly on 40
meters, with some 20 and/or 10 meters depending on propagation. If this
activity can not take place this day it will take place October 8th. QSL

01/10/2005:  Weather permitting, Salvatore (IK1AWV) will be QRV October
1st as IK1AWV/p from the Castle of Caravonica (DCI reference IM-049,

and Burton Hill (SOTA G/WB-020) at 15:30 UTC. Activity will be on 7.030

02/10/2005:  The Tennessee Valley DX Association will be active October
2-9th as W4I from St. George Island (IOTA NA-085, USI FL-007S, Franklin
County), Florida. There will be 12 operators who will be active on 40-6

03/10/2005:  Norbert, F6AXX, be active as F6AXX/p from the Castle of la
Roche du Roi (DFCF reference 73-056) in the city of Aix les Bains (East
of France), between Oct 3rd to 22nd, mainly on 40 meter CW. He may be

references located in the Welsh Borders Region October 3rd: Aconbury

05/10/2005:  The International Police Radio Club (ON4IPA,

lighthouse (WLOTA 0818). Plans are to operate on all the HF bands SSB,

25/10/2005:  Three members of the Florida DXPedition Group, Inc. will be
on Anguilla (IOTA NA-022) between October 25th and November 1st.
Participating members are Bill VP2EWX (W4WX), Cory VP2ECM (N1WON), and
Clarence VP2EAZ (W9AAZ). Each will operate a different band during the
CQ WW SSB contest as a Single Band entry. Look for them on all modes on

28/11/2005:  Joel, 4S7PAG, will be QRV between November 28th and

01/10/2005:  John Flynn, EA7EUF, Secretary URE Huelva, reports that
members of the local section of URE in Huelva have organized a special
event. They will activate the special callsign AO7URE during an all day
event from Doñana National Park, Huelva, Spain, to commemorate the
birth, for the first-time in captivity, of 3 Lynx kittens and also as
part of the "II Diploma Especies de Doñana" in support of the Iberian
LYNX, a feline in danger of extinction. Operations will start at 0700z
on October 2nd. Activity will be on 80/40/20/15/10 meters using SSB
only. A special QSL card will be issued for 1 confirmed contact via the

rememberance of Roland, F3DR (SK), who was very involved in Yonne ham

22/10/2005:  The 27th Hamexpo will be held October 22-23rd in Auxerre,
Burgundy, which is said to be one of the most important Ham shows in
Europe just behind Friedrichshaffen. HamExpo which was founded in 1978
by Pierre Michel, F9AF (ham gear builder) and his daughter Christiane, F
5SM has been a French IARU Society Ref-Union organization, since 1996.
During the Hamexpo week-end, and especially from the Event Hall, the
call sign F5REF (REF-Union's callsign) will be aired on HF and VHF (6
and 2 meters), CW, SSB, PSK and if asked RTTY and SSTV. All contacts
with F5REF will be confirmed automatically via the bureau. Those who
choose the direct way go via Pierre F2WS (envelope SA + IRC. If green
