I didn't get any response from the 80m reflector so I thought I would try here.

I still hear the noise at 9:30am local time. Very weak now.

Subject: [80m] Wierd broadband noise on 80m

First, I am 20 miles North of downtown Phoenix, Arizona

Several hams in the Phoenix area hear a broadband noise.

I hear the noise from 3325 KHz to 3515 KHz, and at 3450 KHz it can be as much as 30 dB above my noise floor, on both my 80m 4sq and my K9AY loop.

It appears to be coming from the Northeast.

It consists of 1 second of 1000, 2000, 3000,
then 1 second of 500, 1000, 2000, 2500
then 1 second of 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750, 2250, 2750, 3000
then 1 second of 2000

then quiet for 20 seconds and it repeats.

Anyone have any idea where this noise is coming from ?
