Bill,
I'm sending this to you and the dx-news reflector, as you requested I make your response public

I uploaded my log data on 9/27 (130K QSOs, if that matters.) Both QSOs, the FJ and N8S were uploaded in the same batch. The time stamp on the FJ QSL is 2008-09-28 10:37:05. The timestamp on my N8S QSL is 2008-09-28 10:19:13.

My DXCC submission was submitted on 9/27 and processed on 9/29 as on the award credit slip. On the LOTW web site it is timestamped 2008-09-27 18:33:58. Only the FJ QSO came up at the time of submission. How is that possible if I didn't upload the log until 9/28?

After getting the email from ARRL that my application was completed and I could d/l the summary report, I went back to LOTW and looked at my RTTY DXCC. It showed me N8S was available for credit, which wasn't the case 2 days earlier.

The QSL timestamps don't make sense, as they both are after the DXCC app. timestamp. In any case, the timestamp on the N8S QSO is EARLIER than the FJ QSO.

Your message to the DX reflector was a bit premature as there is no bug, here's why:

You made your LoTW submission on 9/27

You uploaded your log with N8S on September 28. Remember, no match can occur until _both_ logs have been posted to LoTW so on 9/27 "your" N8S log file was not yet posted.

Your incomplete application attempt was submitted on 10/2

This is why you did not see it in your 9/27 application.

N8S was a new QSO for you since you uploaded your QSO AFTER your 9/27 application.

Please post my reply to the DX reflector since I do not want anyone to get the impression there is a bug, because there is no bug.

If not, I can do it.

Subject: [DX-NEWS] DXCC LOTW submission bug?

Last week, I signed on to LOTW to see what was available for me to

submit for my RTTY DXCC. It told me FJ was confirmed via LOTW, so I

submitted it online. Three days later, I got an email from DXCC desk

saying my award was processed. I signed back on to LOTW, and now it

tells me N8S/Swain's Is. is available for submission for my RTTY DXCC.

I'm sure FJ was the only one available when I did the submission, yet

N8S now shows up as confirmed and available. I'm one from the top of

the RTTY DXCC Honor Roll, so it's not like I lost one country in a long

list of submissions. I only need two.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen? I'm trying to tell Bill

Moore there must be some bug in the system, but I haven't convinced him

yet...

Tnx,

Barry W2UP
