Yes that is correct for the simple reason is everyone and I 
repeat EVERYONE has an opinion, a comment and a 
retraction and if all 1400 subscribers did so, nothing 
would get posted

We are not about counting messages..that was never the 
purpose of these reflectors  It is about providing a needed 
service to the DX community

We split them for a simple reason and that is that a hand 
full of
people will take over the reflector and dominate
everything to the determent of all..the two you see
suddenly popping up recently are two of the biggest
offenders

It was decided in 1998 that this reflector when we took it
over would be for news and not conversation as many
dx'ers don not care for politics or being told things they
have no interest in..hence the CHAT reflector

This was never designed as a massive means of allowing
people to vent, there are other less "restrictive" ones for
that, but in the 13 years this has been up..95% of the
original subscribers are still with us, so we must be
offering a viable product
