Bill, I must respectfully disagree with this line of thinking.

GREAT operators can hit 400 Q's / hour on SSB, 300 Q's/ hour on CW.
GOOD operators can hit 300 Q's / hour on SSB, 200 Q's/ hour on CW.

When the rate drops below those numbers, a duplicate QSO only means
that you filled in what otherwise would be lost time.  MANY DXpeditions
are BEGGING for contacts at the end of the operation.  At those times,
I am often able to make QRP QSO's, even on the low bands.  I seriously
doubt that such contacts are preventing anyone from getting into the log.
