Hi Roger, Operations on the lower bands have been few from Egypt. Much of this is probably due to the difficulty of obtaining a valid license. Furthermore, most of the active SU stations are primarily on ssb on 10-20 meters.
This being said, there have been a few notable operations from SU on the lower bands. Both SU1MR and SU1ER were on in the late 1980's on 80 meters. SU2MT was very active on 40, 80 and 160 in 1994 and 1995. As for zone 34 on 80 and 160, there have been several operations from 5A1A, 5A2A and other calls on 80 and 160 in the mid 1990's. From my perspective, the rarest one in zone 34 is really SUDAN, ST, which I need on 80 and 160. That is one of my last 4 I need in Africa on 80 meters and one of my last 12 on 160.
