I saw a note about VK9ML "Never above ESP Level"
on 15M around 2100Z from W8 land.

The reason is high absorption over the all daylight path
which is especially high when the sun is between
'us and them' i.e. our afternoons and early evenings (N.A.).

On the other hand, the MUF's in the South Pacific are
extremely high and remain so during THEIR NIGHT,
i.e. OUR mornings. This is due to high solar flux levels
and seasonal factors at the Equinox.

VK9ML has been quite STRONG on 10, 12, and 15 Meters
between 1200 and 1400Z, short path, the last couple of days.
They were even coming in on 17M before my sunrise, at 1030Z !
