Hi Floyd,

I thought they did really well. There was clearly a huge amount of
preparation done and an enormous amount of red tape to cut through. I
remember a conversation with DL5NAM about 4 years ago when he was trying
to get contacts in Sudan to arrange this expedition, so it's clearly
taken some time even for a man with Chris's organisational skills.

I think the operating was good and the kit was clearly set up well as
the signals were good. They seemed to listen for different parts of the
world at appropriate times and weren't intimidated by the usual QRM that
emanated from certain parts of Southern Europe.

Job well done - I hope I catch up with the guys at Friedrichshafen so I
can buy them a beer.

Cheers

Dave G0OIL
