The Northern Illinois DX Association is pleased to announce the 51th annual W9DXCC convention at Rolling Meadows (a NW suburb of Chicago) Illinois on September 19 and 20, 2003. This will be the 50th anniversary of the first W9DXCC, initiated by Bob Baird W9NN and held in Chicago in 1953.
Our banquet speaker will be Dave Sumner, K1ZZ, ARRL CEO. Dave's topic will be the recently completed World Radio Conference 2003 from the DX'ers perspective. Dave is also Secretary of the International Amateur Radio Union, and has been instrumental in acquiring new frequencies for amateurs, as well as protecting current allocations.
