Title: When we press Enter to run the first search result, Unity should wait until searching is finished Status in LibUnity: Fix Released Status in Unity: Fix Released Status in Unity Foundations: Fix Released Status in “libunity” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: unity This is observable on a machine that isn't lightning fast: Press Alt+F2, quickly type the full name of a command and press Enter as soon as you are finished typing. Do not look at the dash. Instead of launching the command you entered, Unity will have launched whatever it was showing before then, because it wasn't finished searching when you pressed Enter. This is rather undesirable. Unity should anticipate that a user typing in the search field and pressing Enter knows what he is looking for. So, if a search is still in progress, Unity should wait until that search is finished before doing its usual response.
