You have been subscribed to a public bug:
The human theme names their Message IM icon as notification-message-im,
whereas notify-osd names it notification-message-IM. The result of this
for a user that does not use the Human theme is the NotifyOSD will not
display the fallback icon for an application that uses the Human naming
scheme.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Enable Human icon theme
2) Run in shell `notify-send "Human" -i notification-message-im`
3) Run in shell `notify-send "NotifyOSD" -i notification-message-IM`
4) Enable a different icon theme
5) repeat steps 2, 3
