You have been subscribed to a public bug:
the square where notifications are shown during full screen flash
playback(hulu) seems to lag the rest of the video at times by a few
frames.
I disabled the service and the problem seems to have gone away.
did a sudo mv
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service.disabled
to disable.
