Title: Notifications count as "activity" with respect to screensavers/power management Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: With the version that currently comes with Ubuntu, I have my screen set to dim when idle, and when a notification pops up the screen brightens up again. This is probably why my laptop's screen stays on forever.
