Title: Notifications not presented when turning ambient light sensor on and off Status in Gnome Powermanager: New Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 When I press fn-f11 on my laptop's keyboard to enable and disable the ambient light sensor, the function works but no notification is shown to inform me whether the sensor is being turned on or off. The notification system informs me when I change screen brightness with the fn-f9 and fn-f10 keys so it should also report the status of the ambient sensor. Note: toggle of the sensor works. This bug is only about the lack of notification. Steps to reproduce: 1. Press fn-f11 (or equivalent key on your laptop) to toggle status of ambient light sensor. Actual result: Sensor is toggled but no notification is shown. Expected result: The notification system should show a low-priority alert that says "Ambient light sensor enabled" or "Ambient light sensor disabled" as appropriate. Reproducibility: Always To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-power/+bug/509704/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
