Title: Strange default icon displayed in notification bubbles (instead of the correct icon sent with the notification) Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Ubuntu 10.10 RC, 64 bit notify-osd version 0.9.29-0ubuntu3 notify-osd-icons 0.6 With the exception of those sent, it seems, by the IM applications, all notification bubbles displayed on my computer show the same icon, if any, which is a strange combination of three icons of applications that I have not installed since many years ago (amarok, gaim, and something I cannot identify, screenshot attached). It seems that that "default" icon is some mesh-up of icons from a tango icon set, which I have also uninstalled. I have no idea where it physically is on my computer. I have this problem since at least Lucid, and I couldn't find any information anywhere on how to hunt down the problem.
