Pat, is this still the case in 12.10.6+14.04.20140311-0ubuntu1?

If so, does "upower --dump" show the same incorrect charge level and/or
the same incorrect charging/discharging status that is being shown by
indicator-power?

Title:
Indicator shows 0% when plugged into stock power adapter

Status in “indicator-power” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Manta, Build 43
While charging with an adapter the indicator always reports 0%.
Unplug and the level reports correctly, in this case 21%. When plugged into
the laptop USB, it also reports 21% but the icon does not change to the
"charging" icon as it does when on the adapter.
