Somehow that made the complete Desktop unresponsive!? I installed the dbg-packages, executed 'gdb thunar' and then 'run'. Thunar started and I made a right click twice.
After that nearly the whole Desktop became useless (i had to kill the gdb command via console and everything went fine again). This behaviour is reproducible. Somehow some visual things still worked (the menu was shown in the top bar of unity when i pressed alt) and icons on the (nautilus-) desktop where highlighted when i hovered them with the mouse cursor.
