Okay, I've seen that bug 269904 is receiving a fix and I'm using Christopher Townsend's ppa (ppa:townsend/compiz-nvidia-refresh-test) in Trusty and now the resize seems to work really good with nvidia-331 drivers, so I guess this bug report could be closed.
