Thanks for your bug report Eitan! As you point out this isn't specific
to notify-osd and in fact is not related to notifications at all. It is
a known issue in flash and I've marked it is a duplicate of that issue.
Please direct your comments to the duplicate report and follow it for

Bug description:
when the volume is changed while in full screen flash, the volume notification
will pop up and full screen will close. this issue also existed with the
previous volume notification
