This is filed against the wrong program, Damiano! notify-osd isn't
responsible for how applications or tools utilize it :) This should
better be filed against gnome-settings-daemon (or something similar).
Off the top of my head I do not know what part of GNOME exactely would
be the best to file it against.

[wishlist] Confirmation bubble for Lock keys

Status in Notify OSD: Invalid

Bug description:
I was looking at the list of applets for GNOME panel in Synaptic, and I had an
idea.
There is a "lock-keys-applet" [1] for gnome panel available, but we also have a
new notification mode for hotkeys actions. Why can't we have confirmation
bubbles also for lock keyboard keys?

Use case:
I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard, and the "lock" status led are on the
wireless receiver. If I press the Caps Lock key I want to be able to know
whether this action activated the caps lock or inactivated it, without having
to look at the receiver (which is also hid by my lcd monitor). An hotkey
confirmation bubble would be perfect.
