Just to update this bug report: I have the same problem with the
indicator-applet. After few hours of work it just disappears from the
panel.
I'm using Jaunty with latest updates from today (01.04.2009 22:16 EEST)
Installed versions of indicator-applet:

Bug description:
Whenever pidgin or evolution is opened the notification icon opens as well,
however, at some point my notification icon disappears. I do not receive any
error message. I have pidgin running nearly the entire time my computer is on,
evolution I have only used a few times to try it out. Not sure what info will
help track this down so please direct me.
