As you can see in this long and hot discussion ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/332945 ), the notifier of updates, retart required after an update are eliminated from the notification area. As you can see in comment n°5 :" It's part of a long-term plan to clean up the notification area" (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/332945/comments/5)
that's why I thought it's a bug. I was wrong. but I think that the proper behavior of the indicator-applet 0.1 will be: appear in the notify area if there is new mail and disappear later "to clean up the notification area". so, should I note this as a bug or added it in the blueprint for indicator-applet 0.1 developers ? PS: in the screenshot I'm referring to the indicator-applet. -- [indicator-applet 0.1] evolution notify icon still in the notify systray https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356415 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Indicator Applet Developers, which is subscribed to indicator-applet in ubuntu. Status in Ubuntu Release Notes: Invalid Status in “indicator-applet” source package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I'm using Jaunty Alpha 6 (up to date). when I open evolution I have in the notification area the icon of evolution. I don't know if this is the normal behavior , but even if I don't have any new mail the icon is here. I guess it's not evolution but the indicator-applet who causes this. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
