If you are using Telnet, other than 'unchecking' the band in Preferences seems 
to me the only way to keep the "Talker" from announcing ...but the spots are 
there in Grey.  If you are using 'real' packet, depending on the system's 
software, you can use the FILTER command.

Does anyone know if there is a way to filter out certain bands on incoming
packet spots?  For example, I currently do not operate 6 meters but receive
tons of 6 meter spots. Would like to filter those out for the time being.
