Bernie, This is normal. CW sidetone comes from PC speaker and is activated via the BIOS setup. Voice announcement uses Windows and a Sound Card. This issue was already addressed in this Reflector. A lot of people have (portable) PCs without soundcard and they can hear CW sidetone this way. No solution has been found yet to have CW sidetone use the soundcard. 73, Radi F6GNZ
