Thank you for the several helpful replies. To summarize: 1.You can use either serial or LPT ports.
2.You can use the LPT port or a serial port RTS or DTR. Info is in the manual I have used all the methods and think the LPT port works best. Dan -- N3ND #3. It is in the DX4WIN documentation on pg. 36 states that it is possible to use the same serial port for CW keying as rig control as the pins used for rig control and CW keying are different pins. ..ROG..K9RB 4. DB25 pin 1: connect to 2N2222 emitter DB25 pin 2: connect a 1K resistor in series with the 2N2222 base 2N2222 collector: pulls the keying line to ground. Mark..K6FG Bill .. W5VW and Bill..
