Joe Just make your own universal CW - LPT keying interface!! No need for RigBlasters and other fancy stuff, hi! Easy and cheap, all you need is:
1x DB25 connector male (for LPT port) and a nice plastic or metal shell to cover it 1x jack connector (for TRX) 1x resistor 1k ohm, 0.25W is enough 1x small signal transistor NPN (BC547, 2N2222 for USA I think) 1 length of shielded cable (audio or even RG58 / 59) Tools: pliers, cutter, soldering iron, solder DB25: * PIN1= emittor of transistor * PIN17 goes to one end of R=1k (res is between Base and PIN1) * PIN18 = ground = shield of cable Transistor: * B = other end of R=1k (res is between B and PIN1) * E = DB25 pin1 * C = centerconductor of shielded cable, to the tip of the jack connector (the ectual "key down" line) Jack: * Tip = centerconductor of shielded cable, to collector of the transistor (the ectual "key down" line) * shield-terminal = ground = DB25 pin 18 If you have these parts (max 10$), you can assemble it in 30 minutes (or faster depending on you skills). Commercially "off the shelf" units are available but cost $$$ and are not as much fun. This interface seems to work with a few programs, like our DX4WIN but also CT, N1MMLogger etc. More info? See: http://pages.cthome.net/n1mm/html/Interfacing.htm Hope my explanation was clear, enjoy homebrewing and good luck!
