Note a bit of what Jim said indirectly. The "errors" reported are not necessarily telling you they are now wrong, but only that they differ from the information being imported. I also had many, many errors, but all that I remember were correct in DX4WIN. Mainly the old program used a different convention for prefixes (say UA9 instead of UA/9, can't remember a real example right now). So, the bottom line, the entries may be correct in DX4WIN and the "errors" are just a warning that differences exist but not that their for sure is an error now.

The Russian callsign system is TRICKY, be VERY careful before you over-ride any entities or zones for these callsigns. Most of them should be correct by default in the 5.03 country file (perhaps your old program was wrong!). There is a page of callsign exceptions on the DX4WIN web site that may not be in the database yet. >3. Hawaii calls that are in KY,FL? > >4. KG4 calls that are in 4 land not Gitmo? > >5. It told me K5K was a State Side call, how do I fix that? Go to the QSO in question, and tab over to the Prefix field. Using the F1 key, select the correct entity, and save the QSO record (ENTER or F10). All subsequent QSOs with that callsign will now come up as that entity. - Jim -- Season's Greetings 2001/2002 - http://www.ad1c.com/2001/ Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.com _______________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
