I have a Linksys Cable Modem, Router/Switch and NIC. I have the Linksys Model BEFSR81, EtherFast® Cable/DSL Router with 8-Port Switch. The answer was to change the Linksys "DMZ Host" feature to place the PC outside the router's firewall. With the firewall you have three regions, inside, outside and DMZ. With the PC outside the firewall all works well, but you must rely on the firewall software on the PC. Thanks for all the input.
