I don't think you are missing anything. Just leave the talk window up there and the only time you will be anoyed by it is when you are doing something else and you are automatically returned to DX4WIN. I have not tried filtering Talk messages in the tnc or cluster, but that might be an option.
I wish there was a way to stop those that don't know how to send a talk message from posting it instead as a bogus spot!!! Maybe Paul will give us a filter for 14.000, etc. The next time I want to know that someone got a P5 qsl card, I would just like to ask them. Maybe someone needs to suggest that they get a copy of DX4WIN and use the local spot posting capability and then they and only they will ever see the spot. Guess other software does not have that built in test capability. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Herb Rosenberg Sent: Saturday, July 06, 2002 8:04 PM To: DX4WIN List Subject: [Dx4win] Talk window popup? Guys: I am using dx4win 5.03. I use the packet window for my rf connection to the packet cluster, and the rtty window for packet spots from my internet connection. Everything there works great, and I get the "blended" spots from both sides. But, I would like to "suppress" the talk window from popping up every time someone from the internet side wants to send a talk message, as they are annoying from all over the place. It would be nice to just get the talk window to pop up only when there is a talk message coming from the packet side (my local rf cluster). Is there anyway to do this? I bet it is something simple, that I am missing. Thanks!
