Hello All, Has anyone any experience of installing a second soundcard?
Why would I need to do that ?, well when receiving voice announcements from the packetcluster (and running PSK31 at the same time, for example) with just a single sound card the audio from both sources gets mixed together. By installing a second soundcard I hope to be able to use one for DX alerts (or whatever) and the other just for "radio" use, i.e. PSK31. My original soundcard is a Yamaha DS-XG and I have now installed (unsuccessfully) an old Soundblaster16. Windows98 tells me that the "device is not functioning correctly" (yellow tab in device manager). The Yamaha is still working fine, but no SB16. Maybe I should remove *both* cards and start over again, or perhaps give it all up as a bad job! ANY suggestions out there ?????
