Has anyone suceeded in connecting a serial cw keyer (home build with a = 2N2222 and some diodes + resistors) to the same port as the kenwood 570 = is on ?
When I try this, nore the keyer nore the radio will keep functioning. I radio works fine on com3 on his own, the keyer on com2, but DX4WIN = only let the serial cw keyer be on the same port, why ? I also have a LPT keyer (LCU-3) and he works fine with the Icom 706 = (doth conneced with DX4Win) but not on my 570, this is strange also ?? Two questions : someone succesfull in hooking up a LPT keyer to a 570 (normal manual = keyer input) working via LPT port and DX4win ? someone knows if it is possible to use a different COM port for = connection a serial keyer instead of the same port the radio (570) is on = ?
