Luis Do the following...
1.In your folder "program files\dx4w503\save" there is a file called "dx4win.tcp", open this file with a simple ASCII editor like Windows' Notepad, and copy-paste the whole list underneath of Telnet-clusters in that file, save it and move on to step 2. The dx4win.tcp file contains the name of the Telnet-cluster with it's address and ports to connect to. The the ones I used mostly are placed on top of the list (default position): HB9OK,195.190.168.142:41112 N2TX,207.41.161.220 AC4ET (DXCLUS),ham.southeast.net K4UJ (DXC),cluster.akorn.net N8TO,198.109.197.129 KN4F,206.137.188.10 WU3V,GATE.WU3V.NET WU3V,MOE.WU3V.NET WU3V,24.11.87.252 W5AU,JNOS.NWLA.COM N7TR,GW-WADG.GREATBASIN.NET N6ND,128.49.221.102 N5UXT,GW.N5UXT.AMPR.ORG KA4PKB,DX.KA4PKB.AMPR.ORG WD5B,WD5B.AMPR.ORG KC8FT,MIGATE.AMPR.ORG dx-central,cluster.dx-central.com:6904 IT9GSF,IT9GSF.AMPR.ORG ON4DXB,134.58.199.34 VE6LCB,VE6LCB.AMPR.ORG VA3MW (CLX),24.11.78.89:41112 R3ARES,cluster.dateline.ru:41112 PY2XB,143.108.1.123 JE3YUS,44.129.30.1 IK5PWJ,IK5PWJ.AMPR.ORG ON0DXC, 44.144.208.21:41112 25 spots OH2AQ,http://oh2aq.kolumbus.com/dxs/dx25.html? 250 spots OH2AQ,http://oh2aq.kolumbus.com/dxs/dx250.html? 1000 spots OH2AQ,http://oh2aq.kolumbus.com/dxs/dx1000.html? IR5PWJ,radio-gw.cnuce.cnr.it DB0SUE,44.130.127.111 GB7DJK,62.6.149.2.7300 PI4CC,195.38.205.43 step2: go to file>preferences>packet 1 and make surre these settings are like this: Type = regular COM port = TCP/IP Other settings are optional, try and experiment, same with the settings in "file>preferences>packet 1" Step3: By now, you should have 2 extra windows, called "DX spots ...." and "Packet Window". Go to the "Packet Window" and click on the right mouse button, and choose "internet connection" (3rd from below). A new window opens, called "select internet address", where you find all the information from the TCP-file you edited in step1. Choose the cluster you want to connect to and click "ok" button... The rest will go automatically. I don't know if I forgot something, but it works FB here! Oh yeah, you must have an open internet connection that allows the use of telnet. But I am NOT an expert on tihs. Good luck, hope it works, have fun! 73 es DX de Franki ON5ZO
