Charley's situation seems to me inescapable as long as the radio is sending data to the logging program. The cure is either to stay with the QSO till it's done -- why would you do anything else -- or else log it early in the QSO and then return via PAGE UP to edit it with additional QSO info. Bob's issue with random wandering mode and band sounds more like RFI affecting the data.
