Jim, I went through a lot of trouble to design a card on which 1/2 of the back is blank, and then worked with the custom label feature of DX4WIN to design an on-the-card printing routine that could put as many as 16 QSOs on one card. But, I discovered two problems with my laser printer:
First - a laser's feed mechanism for "envelopes" is no better than an inkjet (at least, not on my HP 4550 printer). I can only load about 10 at a time and they jam often. Second - I use a "custom" multi-color printed card, and I was not able to find a printing company that could guarantee its inks would not "melt" under the intense heat of my laser printer and damage the print-path mechanisms. So, after all my efforts, I am back to laser-printed labels and then peel/stick. <sigh> -larry K8UT ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Reisert AD1C" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Floyd Sense" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 9:06 AM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Good printer for direct printing on cards? > At 07:08 PM 3/31/2003 -0500, Floyd Sense K8AC wrote: > > >You guys who are printing the QSO info directly on your QSL cards - what > >make and model of printer is doing a good job for you?
