If you have a soundcard in your computer, you should be able to try PSK
basically for free.

Minimal installation would be cables for audio into and out of your rig and
computer. Depending on your rig, you might be able to input the audio via a
phone patch input that will key the VOX circuit for you. Alternatively, you
could manually press a MANUAL transmit button on the rig. At least give
this a try before spending money on an unnecessary "interface".

Then if you find you like PSK31, you can make a 2-component PTT line with
<$5 worth of RS parts. I just don't understand buying $50-100 interfaces.

Good luck, and have fun! 73
