Larry- I also use a CD "burner" to backup files. Next on my toy list is a DVD burner--they are now down in the $100 area.

I | do my backup to CDs but I use the "thumb drives" to transfer data to | and from work all the time. Yes, $60 is more expensive than a floppy | but my DX4Win log is now 14MB and the prospect of spreading it | over 10 floppies would not be worth it. Remember that if the backup | process is painful then it does not get done very often. You can also | buy CDRW drives for less than $50 and the CDs are only a few cents | each which would be another easy backup method. | | 73, | Larry, W0QE | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: | | >Larry- | > | >Floppies are a little cheaper than $60 each :-) | > | >Andy K5VM | > | > | > | | _______________________________________________ | Dx4win mailing list | [email protected] | http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win |
