Eric, Make sure you are clicking on the main DX4Win window, not just the file window.
Try this: Click anywhere on the main window and type Alt-F4. This is the same as clicking on the x but without using the mouse. If it still hangs it is probably a windows problem. 95 and even 98SE have closedown problems due to IRQ and other conflicts. Make sure your version of SE is up to date by going to Microsoft.com and downloading the upgrades. I am running the same combo and have no problems. BTW, the PC is an old 133 and is dedicated to DX4Win so if you have lots of other stuff going on, you may want to carefully review your setup. Running W98SE, and DX4WIN ver 6.02, When I close DX4WIN by clicking on the x in the upper right corner, only the W1EL.dxl file closes, DX4WIN stays open, but the mouse is locked up. ctrl-alt-del is the only way I can get the thing shut down. Used to be: I could close everything by clicking on the x in the upper right. Any Thoughts? Bets regards from snowy maine.
