Roger, I had to look back thru my old emails as I had the same problem. Here is what I am doing to use FGREP.
I have placed in the executable program blank on the EXT DATA tab of the preferences - "C:\PROGRA~1\QSLMGR\QSL.BAT", without the quotes. Of course, you'll have to set up your paths to wherever FGREP and your data is. I have the files I want to lookup, FGREP, & the batch file all in c:\program files\qslmgr. QSL.BAT is the following batch file: FGREP -m %1 @QSL.LST > manager.res where QSL.LST is a text file with a list of files FGREP searches.
