I also noticed a similar problem. I am interested in mode countries but = not band countries. When I set DX Alerts to "New Award Mode" I get announcements of new bands as well as new modes. Setting DX Alerts to = "New Country" gets me the desired new mode and new country alerts. It looks = like something is a notch off.
