My thanks to all who responded - Larry's answer (below) solved the issue....just too danged easy! Didn't see that one in the manual, then again, I may have missed it. Thanks to those who suggested turning down the volume/turning off the speaker, but my PC doesn't have those features. Much appreciated Larry!
