However, it's just as easy to do it with a spread-sheet... and it's easier to "manipulate" the data prior to entry into DX4Win... and they make a pretty good back-up.
And in retrospect I regret having loaded all my data into DX4Win and not keeping my older logs... I lost the frequency information that was stored in my logs because DX4Win simply discards it... Which brings up a point, if you are "listening" Steve or Paul... You should at least pop the frequency data into the note field on an ADIF import... All that being said... it is easy to type data directly into DX4Win... especially if you use the "Disable Fields" option Jim suggested. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Reisert AD1C" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 31, 2003 12:21 Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Input of logdata from paper log into dx4win > --- Ken Kopp - KOPP <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Why bother with the effort of entering the data from your > > logbooks into Excel and then moving it into DX4WIN? > > It would seem that the effort would be just as well spent on > > direct entry into DX4WIN, since you'd be entering the same > > data. > > Ken makes a good point.
