Mike, Each Icom radio has its own individual adress when controlled by serial data through the CT-17 level interface. CT-17 will only pass data straight through on all four connections simultaneously.
DX4WIN can only be configured to adress one Icom adress on radio 1 and 2. That means that you will have to have a specific *.INI file in DX4WIN to be loaded at start up with the right adress for each Icom radio. DX4WIN can not directly switch between Icom adresses according to which radio/band (2m, 70cm etc.) you wish to operate. Switching is possible only between Radio1 and Radio 2 with two COM-ports connected. By the way, you will also need the hard to find Icom option UX-14 serial to parallell data interface in each radio. There is a substitute by PIEXX on the market. The product is UX-14PX at USD 139.- Link: http://www.piexx.com/cgi-bin/piexx.cgi?p=ux14&cart_id=7184753.11336 73 de Erik/SM0JCA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Rhodes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, November 28, 2003 5:24 PM Subject: [Dx4win] DX4Win + HF + CT-17 + IC-275, 475, 575 = 2 Rigs ? > Greetings All, > Have been reading about the Icom CT-17 rig interface and see that it is > capable of supporting up to 4 rigs.
