I occasionally connect to the cluster via telnet through K4JA. I am typically disconnected after a prolonged period of inactivity (six or more hours or so). I just assumed that was normal node behavior in order to prevent too many inactive people from staying connected and tying up computer resources. Apparently, that is not the case with Jim. I am using a DSL connection through a networked LAN also. What's going on then?
