Subject: [Dx4win] Missing Info in "State Window"
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I am having a problem with info not appearing coinciding correctly in the
"State" Window and the "Listing" Window under reports.

I worked a station in SD on 6M, on SSB and CW. I updated the log to show
confirmation for both contacts. The information reflects Y for both contacts
in the "Same Call" Window and Y in the Logbook Window.. But, the "State"
Window reflects W for the SSB contact and C for the CW contact. Under
"Reports" / Listing Window when brought up for 6 meters. The field for CW
shows not worked, and SSB confirmed.

When checking File, Preferences;
Under Station the following are checked for 6 meters - Bands, modes-cw & ssb,
 vucc bands, grids,

Under WAS the following are checked for 6 meters - Valid Bands, Separate
Awards,
Modes-cw & ssb Awards - mixed, mode, & band

I have not noticed this problem until now, and wonder if there are other
entries that may be problematic.

Any help on how to get this problem resolved is appreciated.

Thanks,

Roy - WK4Y

Jim,
I apologize for starting something here; but,
I find that a lot of my old cards have DADE on them
and that is how they were entered. Now I have to go in
and change all of them. They are all in ERROR.....

Not only that, I have not been down there for over 20
years and was not aware that it was changed and they
did not write me a letter or inform me that they were
changing it. I think they owe the american public an
apology for the oversight! hi hi.....

'Seriously now, I have it corrected and everything is
working out fine. I just had to look for it. I even looked in
my new "1995" Rand McNally Atlas and it shows DADE
for the county name. I have not looked on any Florida maps
as of yet; but, I wonder how many of them do not have the
change listed. Just food for thought. One of those little
glitches in life that we take for granted.

Have fun, and thanks for the help.

John,

Don't know what version you upgraded from but the Dade vs Miami-Dade is
NOT the only county you may have problems with. Older versions of
DX4Win has mistakes in Yuba, CA (Yuma in DX4Win), no Broomfield, CO (new
county), and I think Harrison, WV was misspelled. If I am wrong about
Harrison it definitely was one county in WV. I did exactly what you are
doing now. I now can assure you that the current abbreviations are
error free.

Larry, W0QE

Hello Kostas,
Have you assured that YV0D is mapped to "Aves Island"? Once it
is mapped, and you have it worked, all spots should show up as another
color (i.e., worked, but not confirmed)....
