Hello friends, the coordinates given in DX4WIN for AVES, YVO are:
67.40 WEST and 12.00 North (GRID FK61ex) : however: these coordinates are definetely incorrect... possible explanation: I think "AVES" was mixed up with the "ISLAS DE AVES" !!! - but these are different islands much much closer to the YV coast...have a look at the position of YV0 in the DX4WIN map and AVES on another good map...and you will see the difference at once... correct coordinates for YV0 AVES = 63 degress 36 minutes 27 seconds WEST and 15 degrees 40 minutes 33 seconds NORTH (GRID locator: FK85eq) best 73 de Markus, DL9RCF
