Tod, ADIF files are plain ASCII files; you can edit such a file with any text editor as long as you save the text in plain ASCII again (no formatting).
I do not know what field your software uses in the ADIF file for a section, but the DX4WIN ADIF import expects the 'ARRL_SECT' field.
