Dear Chris: Make sure you're looking in the correct directory. It may not be saving to the "backup" directory, but some other directory. I have seen this happen when the computer crashes and after reboot, DX4WIN wants to save the log. I believe it wound up in "My Documents" rather than the DX4WIN directory.
